Happy holidays from St. Charles County, Missouri! St. Charles County has many different types of holiday events to choose from this time of year. The season brings shorter days and longer nights that are perfect for sparkling lights, hot cocoa by the fire and festive holiday events. We’ve put together a handy list of the many different holiday events to choose from. The list is ordered by event start date. The Meadows of Lake Saint Louis Mayor Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join us in the clock tower plaza on Friday, November 22nd from 6-8pm for the annual Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony with Lake Saint Louis Mayor, Kathy Schweikert. Celebrate the season with holiday songs from the Green Tree Elementary School Choir, complimentary carriage rides, and a special visit from Santa! Purchase cookies, coffee and hot chocolate from Roasted Coffee & Wine Bar AND, because it’s the season of giving, each person that brings a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots will get a $5 gift card to Prados. Free event.

The event welcomes back highly anticipated returning vendors; and are especially pleased about a great assortment of new, exciting and unique items being offered by new vendors. They'll have over 200 booths with arts, crafts, gourmet goodies, home decor, unique gift items, and more. Find just the right gift for everyone on your list this year. Free admission, free parking, raffles and door prizes throughout the weekend.



O'Fallon Celebration of Lights

Celebration of Lights is a holiday light display held at Fort Zumwalt Park. Each scene is designed and funded by local organizations, churches and businesses. Started in 1991, the event attracts more than 10,000 vehicles each year and more than 10,000 individuals during the Old-Fashioned Holiday Stroll. There are no reservations needed to drive through the exhibit. And don’t miss the Old Fashioned Holiday Stroll version of the event where one can walk through the Celebration of Lights on December 9th and 10th. Holiday Train Display and Cookie Decorating

St. Charles County Heritage Museum - 1630 Heritage Landing, St. Charles, MO 63303
Explore local history this holiday season when you visit the St. Charles County Heritage Museum's annual train display! Bring your family and friends to see the historical Katy Railroad-themed scenes; this year's display includes extended tracks and new St. Charles County landmark model buildings. Adults and children of all ages will delight in the sights and sounds of the trains as they make their way through part of the museum. In addition to the train display, guests may also tour the exhibits at the museum, which focus on the sporting heritage of St. Charles County. Opening day will also include free holiday cookie decorating (and eating), while supplies last.

Don your finest tea apparel and visit the "Land of Sweets" for Nutcracker Tea! Immerse yourself in a winter wonderland full of art activities, treats, and an accompanied ballet performance. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for adult members, $15 for children 12 and under, and $13.50 for children members. Don't miss this holiday favorite at the Foundry Art Centre. Tickets must be purchase by November 24th.

Walk, carriage ride or sleigh ride through a multitude of lights featuring beautiful scenes and tunnels of twinkling light. This year, there will be LIVE REINDEER, a photo booth with Santa, cookies, hot chocolate and carolers! The cost for admission is $3 in advance and $5 day of, per person. St. Peters 30th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony to Feature Holiday Hop with Butch Wax and the Hollywoods

Other groups performing at the ceremony will be: Childbloom Guitar Program of St. Charles County, directed by Chris Peleshenko; Fort Zumwalt East High School Orchestra, directed by Jocelyn Garner; and Lindenwood University’s Voices Only, directed by Pam Grooms. Following the music is the countdown to the lighting of the tree, and photo opportunities with Santa in the City Hall lobby. Free Event.


Christmas Candlelight Walk

Augusta Candlelight Christmas Walk

Enjoy food vendors, restaurants, wineries & brewery decked for the season and serving traditional holiday fare.


Holiday House Tour

Step back in time as you walk (or drive) the quaint, picturesque streets of Augusta and tour five beautifully decorated homes for the second annual Augusta Christmas House Tour. Watch or join in this fun fundraiser for the Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce, now in its ninth year and gaining popularity. Come join the fun in historic downtown St. Charles. Children's dash as well as 5k and 1-mile walk also can be enjoyed. Children's Dash begins at 8:00 am at Riverside Drive & Jefferson 5K & 1-Mile Walk starts at 8:30 am at Riverside Drive & Pike Street. Click the link for more detailed information.


St. Charles Municipal Band Holiday Concert

The Concert Band will open the concert at 7 PM after a short intermission at 8 PM  the Big Band with vocalist will close out the evening entertainment. There is plenty of parking all around the Center with full handicap access. The Holiday Concert is free with no tickets required.  Santa Claus has promised a visit to greet children of all ages.  Free event.

Fall in St. Charles County is filled with festivals, exhibitions, historical events and haunted fun. There are plenty of establishments, groups and businesses with fall events to choose from in the towns that make up St. Charles County including: Augusta, Cottleville, Dardenne Prairie, Flint Hill, Foristell, Lake St. Louis, New Melle, O'Fallon, Portage Des Sioux, St. Charles, St. Paul, St. Peters, Weldon Spring, Wentzville, and West Alton. This is the 49th year of selling fruit and veggies on this farm that has been in operation for 197 years.  Pick your own apples or pumpkins and enjoy a “taste of history” along with seasonal fruit and good things made in the farm kitchen. Visit the market in the 160-year old timber framed barn, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Augusta Harvest Festival 2019

Augusta: A Great Heritage – Explore a day in the life of a German Immigrant The Augusta Harvest Festival is held the third week in September and captures the rich heritage of past festivals held including gourmet picnic, parades, homemade pie walk, pony rides, pumpkin launch contest, square dancing, wine-makers dinner and much more to enjoy.

St. Charles Octoberfest

This year the Saint Charles Oktoberfest is located at the beautiful Lewis and Clark Boathouse Parking Lot off 1050 S. Riverside Drive, between the Missouri River and the Historic Downtown District. Just some of the fun events you'll find this year are a 5k and 10k and 1 mile fun runs, raise the stein event, antique car show, brat eating contest, wiener dog race and more. Don't miss the fun.

Micro Macro Art Exhibit

At this free exhibition, size matters.  This show will display two opposites: one half focusing on small works (micro) and the other half focusing on works larger than 48 inches (macro).

Celebrate St. Peters Annual Community Festival 2019

This free two-day festival event features live music and entertainment on three different stages. Enjoy a carnival, vendors, kids’ activities, fireworks and more! Saturday is Sawyer Brown and opener Alyssa Lynn Little. Friday is Plastic Kings opening for Head East plus fireworks at 9pm.

Daniels Farm and Greenhouse October Harvest

Valley Farms Fall Festival Foristell

Valley Farms fall events in October include the Craft Beer & BBQ Event, Rock & Roll Bingo Farm Style and of course lots of pumpkins, gourds, mums, straw, concessions, and crafts.  Come enjoy the hawk ridge hay ride, barrel train ride, Farm Land bounce house, pumpkin bowling, panning for gold and more. Cottleville Firefighter's Haunted Trail and Bonfire Party

In Legacy Park in Cottleville MO
Cottleville Firefighters Outreach is a nonprofit with a mission to raise our community's educational and awareness levels of safety and health issues in hopes of preventing misfortune. They setup a haunted trail that ends near the former residence of Mollie Crenshaw, a well-known witch that lived in Cottleville over 100 years ago. CWS Rotary Club will have beer and other adult beverages for purchase for those 21 and over and there will be a movie and bonfires. Wear shoes good for a gravel path and bring your lawn chairs and friends to enjoy a good time. 

St. Charles Food Trucks in the Park

Rev up your taste buds and enjoy tasting delectable foods from multiple food trucks. Enjoy live entertainment as you indulge in a variety of delicious food options.  The event is free other than the cost of food. It is recommended that you bring your own lawn chair or blanket.

Legends & Lanterns Annual Special Event St. Charles 2019

Legends & Lanterns, a "spirited" journey through Halloween History is an annual event that finds its inspiration from the past. From the vintage charm of Halloween in the 1910s-1930s, to the historical rituals and customs brought to the holiday by the Druids and Victorians, to the ethereal atmosphere depicted in American ghost stories and Brothers Grimm fairy tales; this event will offer treats and tricks for guests of all ages. A little bit silly. A little bit macabre. But all in fun.
 
10th Annual Fort Zumwalt East High School Grad Night Craft Fair

Get a jump on your holiday shopping with over 50 vendor and crafters. Awesome gift and craft items include: candles, quilts, jewelry, music boxes, pet items, purses, beauty & bath items, fashions, custom bears, holiday craft items and more. There will also be concession stands, vendor demonstrations, a bake sale, and raffles. This event benefits the Fort Zumwalt East High School Grad Night event for seniors.
